Why the name Rhodes?
Embracing my heritage, my last name, Rodas, echoes the Greek origin of Rhodes, or Rodos. Coincidentally or not, as I was visiting the Island of Rhodes in Greece, I dreamed of having my own practice, helping women and men look and feel better, and age gracefully through medical treatments. Since Aesthetics and beauty have long been linked to Greek mythology, the name seemed perfect for our charming Boutique Medical Spa located in the heart of Bakersfield, California.

I am Melina, an Emergency Department registered nurse with a passion in Aesthetics.

Medical Director and Co-owner
Dr. Laband earned his medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine, and trained in Internal Medicine at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME, where he also served a year as Chief Resident.
